Encapsulation
Q. What's the difference between a HWE (pre-spray) detergent and an encapsulation detergent?
A. In the first place any detergent hether for HWE or Encapsulation will appear to clean well when agitated into the carpet with either a brush or pad.
The question is how long before the carpet resoils again. With a HWE prespray it will be pretty darn quick because the (negative) residue is sticky hence the need for rinsing. Not so however with encap. The residue of a quality encap detergent will be absolutely non-stick (positive) residue and will not have a problem with resoiling.
